Gardai investigate after body of man in his 30s found in Co Carlow

Gardai have launched an investigation after the discovery of a man's body in an Irish town.

Local radio station KCLR 96FM reports that the remains were found at a home in Graiguecullen on the Carlow and Laois border.

Officers rushed to the scene on Tuesday morning, where they found the body of a man in his 30s.

The body was brought to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem exam is due to be carried out.

Gardai said that they are currently "investigating all circumstances" surrounding the incident.

However it is understood that it is not currently being treated as suspicious.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a body of a male in his 30s yesterday morning, Tuesday 30th March 2021.

"The body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem is due to take place, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation."
