Gardai were left stunned after stopping a motorcycle and discovering that it was untaxed for more than three years.
The find was made by officers from Laois while on patrol on the M8.
The driver was also discovered to be disqualified.
Gardai said they were arrested at the scene and court proceedings are set to follow.
A spokesman said: Laois Roads Policing were on patrol on the M8 when they stopped this motorcycle. Using the #MobilityApp, it was found that the driver was disqualified and untaxed for 1166 days.
"The driver was arrested. Proceedings to follow."

Meanwhile members of the traffic corps were also kept busy in Co Kildare after stopping a car travelling at a whopping 166km/h.
The incident happened on the M9 motorway.
The motorist was also arrested after failing a breath test for alcohol, and an oral fluid test for cocaine.
A spokesman said: "Naas Roads Policing Unit detected a motorist travelling at 166km on the M9. The driver failed roadside breath test for alcohol and oral fluid test for cocaine.
"Motorist arrested and court appearance to follow."
