Gardai in major car drug sting as man arrested during significant Bray seizure

A man has been arrested after gardaí discovered €40,000 worth of cannabis in a car in Wicklow.

Two kg of the drug was discovered when a car was stopped and searched following a surveillance operation by gardai in Bray.

A garda spokesperson said: “Following a surveillance operation in the Bray area, a car was stopped and searched and 2 kilogrammes of cannabis were discovered with a street value of €40lk.

“One man was arrested under drug trafficking legislation in Bray Garda Station.”
