Gardai hunting three men after fatal gangland shooting in Coolock, north Dublin

Gardai are on the hunt for three men after a fatal gangland shooting in Coolock, north Dublin.

Officers believe three men wearing balaclavas were involved in the incident.

A man, who is a foreign national in his 40s, was gunned down on Kilbarron Avenue at around 3.30pm on Tuesday. The attack took place outside the house of recent gun victim Sean Little.

And gardai are now looking for information on three men who were seen fleeing the scene in a silver Toyota Avensis with a registration of 04-D-71806.

The vehicle was found burnt out and abandoned in the Castletymon Gardens area before 4pm.

A garda spokesman said: "The body remains at the scene pending examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and it is anticipated that a post mortem will take place on Wednesday.

"The scene remains preserved for a Garda technical examination.

"An incident room has been established at Ballymun Garda Station. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Ballymun on 01 666 4400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

"Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Kilbarron Avenue or Castletymon Gardens areas of Coolock between 3:15pm and 4pm on 28/05/19, especially road users who may have dash cam footage."
