Gardai are on the hunt for a 'Spider Man' robber who leapt from a second-storey window of a Dublin city centre apartment with a stolen phone and tablet in tow.
The robber's daring escape took place in the early hours of the morning at a flat on the quays after he was caught in the act by one of the residents.
The man was awoken at 3am by a noise, which he initially suspected to be his roommate.
But upon investigation, he saw the thief clambering out the window and perching himself on the ledge, in what he described as a "Spider-Man style" stance, before dropping to the ground.
The thief, a tall man in a white camo jacket, let out a scream as he hit the ground, but was able to make a getaway.
Gardai confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the incident.
"Gardaí are investigating an incident of burglary that occurred at a residence in Dublin 1 on Monday, 3rd May 2021," a spokesman said.
He added: "Some items were taken from the premises. Investigations are ongoing."
