Gardai hunt mobility scooter driver after bizarre Cabra road crash with car

Gardai are hunting the driver of a mobility scooter who was involved in a bizarre Dublin road crash with a car on Friday evening.

Cabra officers were informed about the incident, which caused traffic havoc near Drumcliff Road, shortly after 3pm.

But strangely, the person on the mobility scooter allegedly fled the scene with the vehicle by the time officers arrived.

Now, a garda hunt has been launched to identify all parties involved in the collision with investigations ongoing.

A source told Dublin Live: "It is understood that the person on the mobility scooter, left the scene with the scooter and that the accident was reported by the driver of the car.

"There was minor damage caused to the vehicle. Enquiries are underway to identify everyone involved in the incident."

He added: "No injuries have been reported at this stage and investigations are ongoing."
