Gardai hunt for child involved in criminal damage attack as house targeted in Meath

Gardai are on the hunt for a child who was involved in a criminal damage attack on a house in Meath.

Investigating officers arrived at the scene of the property at Headfort Grove estate on January 15 shortly after 6pm.

The shaken homeowners told Gardai that their window had been smashed during the incident.

It is understood that they were worried that follow-up attacks would take place.

Gardai are urging anybody who was in the area at the time or who saw anything to come forward and contact their nearest Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.

A spokesperson told Dublin Live: "Gardai in Kells are investigating an incident of criminal damage that occurred at Headfort Grove estate on the 15.01.21 at approximately 6pm.

"A youth threw a stone at the front window of the house which broke the window."

They added: "If anybody has any information or saw this youth running from the Headfort Grove estate can they please call Kells Garda Sation on 0469240999."
