Gardai were out in force on Sunday night across Limerick and Waterford to deter All-Ireland celebrations.
Limerick were victorious on Sunday, easing past a Waterford side longing for an All-Ireland title.
And Gardai were out on the streets of both cities in a bid to deter celebrations.
Officers shared images while out on the beat in both counties with both seemingly quiet as people adhered to guidelines.
A spokesperson said: "Gardaí on duty in #Limerick and #Waterford Few points in the difference at today's #allirelandfinal but the main point for the night should be to comply with public health guidelines.
"Please enjoy your night whilst maintaining #SocialDistancing and don't gather in groups."
Sharing pictures of the patrols, Gardai added on Facebook: "Gardai in Limerick are out on beat patrol in the city and county tonight. Well done to the All Ireland senior hurling champions.
"To all those celebrating this historic win stay safe and continue to follow the Covid guidelines and let's beat this together."
