Gardai have issued a fine to a driver after catching the motorist doing a U-turn at a toll plaza in Waterford.
The driver was on the N25 when they appeared to change their mind and attempt to turn the car around ahead of the toll bridge.
Gardai shared a picture to Twitter with the car facing in the wrong direction on the dual carriageway after nabbing the driver performing the “dangerous” manoeuvre.
Waterford Roads Policing Unit stopped the car and issued the driver with a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice.
The road in question has no spot where you can get onto the correct side of the road after performing a u-turn - with the motorist's only option being driving against oncoming traffic.
