Gardai were called to a large fight on a street in South Kilkenny on Saturday where one teenager was found with a weapon.
Units of the gardai were alerted to incidents on the Main Street in Piltown at 4pm on Saturday where a large crowd had gathered.
Footage on social media shows a number of groups fighting in the middle of the road in the Kilkenny village.
Gardai confirmed they were called to disperse the crowd and one youth was found with a weapon but was not arrested.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí were alerted to ongoing incidents in the area of Main Street, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny were a large group of youths were gathering from approximately 4:30p.m. on yesterday evening Saturday 24 May, 2020.
"One youth was found to be in possession of a weapon and was brought home by Gardaí to his parents. Enquiries are currently ongoing."
