Gardai have found a loaded semi-automatic sawn-off shotgun in a Co Dublin housing estate.
Officers investigating criminal activity in the Blanchardstown area raided a house at Sheephill Park yesterday.
As part of the operation, wasteland in the Sheephill Estate was searched and gardai discovered the firearm "concealed in undergrowth".
A garda spokesperson said: "The weapon has been forwarded to Garda Headquarters for ballistic testing.
