Gardai arrested a man in Tipperary on Saturday night after he led them on a foot chase.
Officers in Cahir spotted a car acting suspiciously, after attempting to stop the vehicle the man drove off before fleeing the car.
Multiple units then joined in a foot chase near the Knocklofty area and eventually reprimanded the man.
After checking his details gardai found he was disqualified from driving and had an existing warrant out for his arrest.
On top of that the driver was arrested for dangerous driving in trying to escape from the gardai.
A garda spokesperson said: "During the night Gardai from Cahir were carrying out an anti crime patrol in the Knocklofty area when they observed a vehicle acting suspiciously.
"Gardai attempted to stop the vehicle which failed to do so. With the assistance of units from Clonmel Garda Station, the driver was arrested after a foot chase after abandoning the vehicle.
"Using the Mobility App we discovered the motorist was disqualified from driving. The motorist was arrested for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and for a warrant in existance.
"Vehicle seized and driver held in custody and appeared before Cashel District Court this morning."
