These images show forensic officers at work as gardai continue to investigate the unexplained death of a man in Tallaght.
The body of a man, aged in his 40s, was discovered in Killinardan Heights on Thursday evening.
A house was sealed off following the grim discovery with gardai and forensic investigators examining the scene.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana told Dublin Live yesterday: "Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body of a man in unexplained circumstance at a property in Tallaght this evening, Thursday 2nd September 2021.
"Shortly after 5:30pm, Gardaí attended a residential property where the body of a man in his 40s was discovered.
"The scene is currently sealed off to allow for a forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau."
In a further statement issued to Dublin Live this afternoon, a garda spokeswoman said: "The man’s body has been removed from the scene for a post-mortem examination, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation."
