Gardai have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for a missing Kildare teenager.
Shane O'Connor, 17, was last seen in the Tallaght area of Dublin on Friday morning.
Shane, who is from Newbridge, was wearing a black hoodie, dark tracksuit pants and white runners when he was last seen.
Officers had said they were "concerned for Shane's welfare" and issued multiple appeals for information.
However gardai confirmed that the search has been stood down after a body was found in the Bray area of Wicklow on Friday.
Officers added that no further information was available at this time.
A garda spokesman said: "Following the recovery of a body in the Bray area of Wicklow on Friday, 7th January 2022, a Missing Person Appeal in respect of Shane O'Connor, 17 years, has been stood down.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter. No further action is required and no further information is available at this time."
