Gardai have condemned a driver as well as issuing a fine and penalty points for driving distracted with kids on board.
Officers in Limerick stopped a motorist on the M7 who was using his phone will bringing children to school.
Gardai pulled the driver over on a foggy Tuesday morning and issued penalty points as well as the fine.
They said in a warning on social media: "Foggy start to the morning for a distracted driver on the M7 motorway who was holding mobile phone at the steering wheel while bringing children to school.
"Advice given along with Fixed Charge Notice issued at the roadside via Garda #MobilityApp, €60 & 3 penalty points."
