Gardai rushed to the scene of a collision involving a cyclist and a car earlier this evening.
The incident happened at 5.30 pm on O'Connell Street Southbound by Sackville Place which saw the street being closed off for a time.
A female cyclist was taken to the Mater Hospital and her injuries aren't believed to be lift-threatening.
The road has since been opened to traffic.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí were called to the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 5.30pm today Thursday 12 December 2019 on O’Connell Street Southbound involving a cyclist and a car.
"A female cyclist was taken to the Mater Hospital where her injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening. The road has since re-opened."
The closure saw services being diverted left via Cathal Brugha Street, right on to Marlborough Street, over the Rosie Hackett Bridge, right on to Burgh Quay, left on to D'Olier Street.
