A swan got in a flap on a busy road in Dublin city centre.
Gardai chased down the rogue bird which was seen wandering down the Samuel Beckett Bridge in the city on Monday.
Traffic was stopped as officers worked to capture it and allow vehicles to pass along the busy road.
And gardai revealed a vet was called in to take care of the swan after it was safely rescued.
A Garda spokesman wrote on Twitter: “The neck on this one trying to flee the scene.
“Gardai on the Samuel Beckett Bridge waiting for a vet to come take care of this troublemaker. (Thank you to Veronika from Switzerland for kindly sending us these photos).”
