Gardai catch driver watching Liverpool v Barcelona match in car in Dublin

One football fan was nabbed by gardai on Tuesday night for watching a match while driving.

Officers pulled over the distracted driver who was tuning into Liverpool's Champions League tie with Barcelona.

The driver was stopped with their phone in a holder attached to the windscreen.

The motorist was fined, but if they're a Liverpool supporter, they probably aren't overly bothered as the Reds ran out 4-0 winners - booking their place in the final in Madrid.

A garda tweet said: "Champions League update... Motorist detected by DMR North Roads Policing Unit watching match on mobile phone while driving! FCPN to be issued."
