The Gardai have issued a warning to motorists after 25drivers were caught speeding on one stretch of road in a quiet Irish village.
Officers for the Kilkenny/Carlow region were alerted to the danger posed by drivers after a number of residents reported vehicles going very fast along the Kilkenny Road in Bennettsbridge.
The limit on the road is 50 km/h but locals had indicated that a lot of motorists were breaking that limit.
As a result, Gardaí set up speed checks over the Bank Holiday weekend catching 25 vehicles going over the speed limit across the four days.
One of them included a car going a whopping 103kph in the 50 zone.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit conducted more speed checks on the Kilkenny Road in Bennettsbridge this evening after a complaint from residents on that road.
"Over the Bank Holiday weekend a total of 25 vehicles have been stopped for speeding on the road including a car which was detected traveling at 103kph in the 50 zone.
"Please slow down and adhere to speed limits. Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists"
