Gardai were called to a house party in Wexford on Tuesday night where almost 100 people turned up.
Officers in Enniscorthy arrived at a gathering where in excess of 80 people had packed into a marquee in someone's back garden.
Officers spoke to the organisers and cleared the crowd, but no arrests have been made.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a large gathering of people at a private premises in Enniscorthy on the 19th May 2020.
"Those present were advised by Gardaí on HSE guidelines on social distancing and all present agreed to follow this advice and left the area."

This is one of a number of incidents around the country in recent days despite phase one rules stating people could only meet in groups of four while outside.
Another party in the south-east of the country was broken up in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crowds are understood to have travelled well outside their 5km limit to attend the gathering Dublin Live reports.
Upon questioning, officers found that most were miles outside the radius zone or were not part of the household according to KCLR96FM.
