Gardai are currently at the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision in south Dublin.
The N81 between Citywest and Jobstown House is currently blocked off by Gardai as they attend what they describe as a serious incident involving a car and a pedestrian.
Gardai were unable to specify if anyone had been badly injured in the incident.
Commuters are being warned that there are serious delays on the stretch of road and are being urged to approach it with caution.
