Gardai at the scene of overturned milk truck in Kildare with lengthy delays

An overturned milk truck has led to significant delays along a Kildare motorway this morning

The truck collided with the central barrier along the N7 North shortly after 9am

Gardai have since closed the lanes to the barrier on both sides, as emergency services deal with the collision, and attempt to remove the damaged truck.

Traffic is being diverted into the hard shoulder on each side of the collision.

A spokesperson said: "A diversion will be in place from J8 through Johnstown Village rejoining the N7 at J9."

"Gardaí attended a single vehicle road traffic collision, involving a lorry, that occurred on the N7 shortly before 8am this morning, Sunday 16^th May. No injuries reported at the scene."

Gardaí warn motorists to expect delays.
