Gardai arrest school kid in significant Grand Canal Dock search as part of major operation

Gardaí arrested a youth after a search at Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2.

As part of Operation Tara Gardaí from Pearse Street station searched the juvenile at the docks.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of €3,000 was found during the search.

Gardaí seized the drugs and the young person was arrested.

Investigations are currently ongoing.

An Garda Siochana tweeted: “Under Operation Tara Gardaí attached to Pearse Street Garda station stopped and searched a juvenile at Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2.

“Gardaí seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €3,000 and the juvenile was arrested.

“Investigations ongoing.”
