Gardai arrest two men following Blanchardstown house fire over Bank Holiday weekend

Gardai have arrested two men in connection with a Blanchardstown house fire over the Bank holiday weekend.

The two males were detained in the Blanchardstown area on Sunday afternoon and taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station.

Two people were in the house at the time but managed to escape uninjured from the blaze in Westway View.

Gardai are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at the property in the Dublin 15 suburb.

Gardai thank public for help after missing 18-month-old girl and grandfather, 36, located safe and well in Dublin 

Officers have carried out a number of subsequent searches in connection with the investigation.

Both men have been released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
