Two men have been arrested after a robbery at a post office in Co Cork.
Two individuals armed with what is believed to be to a handgun and an iron bar threatened staff and stole cash at the premises on Thursday morning.
It's understood the thieves entered the small post office in Little Island at around 9:30am.
No one was injured in the incident. Two men were seen leaving the scene in a black 05C car which has damage on either side.
Gardai have confirmed that two suspects were arrested in the Glanmire area of the county at around 2:30pm.
The pair are currently detained at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.
