Gardai have arrested three males in connection with the ongoing feud in Drogheda.
The arrests were made this afternoon under Operation Stratus following the scene of a burnt out car that was found earlier today.
The three males were arrested for criminal damage.
One male has been detained in Drogheda garda station while the other two males are being held in Dundalk garda station.
The arrests come after garda commissioner Drew Harris told the people of Drogheda last week that gardai are committed to ending the violence.
Mr Harris promised to bring those “intent on mayhem and murder” to justice.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan also offered reassurance to the community and said the small number of “thugs will not be tolerated.”
