Gardai arrest Tallaght drug driver after mistake led to narcotic concoction discovery

A dangerous drug driver found themselves in hot water after being quizzed by gardai in south Dublin.

Officers from the DMR South Roads Policing Unit stopped the motorist after noticing a van travelling with no tax disks in Tallaght.

The motorist was arrested after testing positive for three drugs - opiates, cocaine, and cannabis - on Wednesday.

A garda spokesperson said on Twitter: "Gardaí from the DMR South Roads Policing Unit found this van travelling with no tax disks in Tallaght.

"The van was stopped & the driver tested positive for opiates, cocaine & cannabis.

"The driver was arrested. Proceedings to follow."
