A motorist was arrested after they were caught breaking the speed limit by 92km/h.
The driver was detected traveling at 212km/h on the M9 on Wednesday.
Gardai from the Carlow Roads Policing Unit arrested the motorist on suspicion of dangerous driving.
The driver was charged and is to appear at Carlow District Court on Wednesday April 17.
A garda tweet said: "Speed check on M9 motorway y/day detected a driver travelling at 212km/h IN 120km/h zone.

"Driver arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and charged to appear before Carlow District Court on the 17th April."
