A motorist was arrested after they were caught driving 74km/h over the speed limit on an Irish motorway.
Gardai stopped a vehicle after it was detected traveling at 194km/h on the M18 near Gort, Co Galway.
The Galway Roads Policing Unit also nabbed a driver who was driving at a speed of 171km/h on a dual carriageway in Oranmore. Both drivers are to be prosecuted, gardai say.

A garda tweet said: "Galway Roads Policing Unit conduct a speed checkpoint.
"Both these drivers to be prosecuted. 171km/h on dual carriageway in Oranmore. 194km/h on M18 motorway Gort."
