A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a home in Tallaght.
The incident happened at Brookfield Road on Saturday evening when a firearm was discharged at a residential property at around 10.30 pm.
No injuries were reported following the incident and two search warrants were obtained for two properties in the area.
Gardai arrested a man, 20, and seized a loaded shotgun following a search operation this afternoon.
The man is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí have seized a loaded firearm and arrested one man following a search operation that took place following a firearms incident that occurred on Saturday night, 30th October, 2021 at Brookfield Road, Tallaght.
"A firearm was discharged at a residential property in Tallaght at approximately 10.30 p.m. No persons were injured during the incident and as a result of investigations two search warrants were obtained pursuant to Section 29 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 to search two properties in Tallaght.
"The search operation took place this afternoon, Wednesday 3rd November, 2021 and during the course of the search a loaded shotgun was seized. One man (aged 20 years) was arrested at the scene under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 and is currently detained at Tallaght Garda station."
