Gardai arrest man after finding €110,000 worth of drugs in car in Co Tipperary

A man was arrested after €110,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis were found in a car in Co Tipperary.

The suspect, in his 30s, was travelling in the vehicle on Wednesday in the Kilcommon area of the county.

Gardai stopped the car before discovering cocaine and cannabis estimated to be worth €70,000 and €40,000 respectively.

The man is being detained at Tipperary Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí on patrol stopped a car in the Garracummer area of Kilcommon, Co Tipperary.

"Cocaine (pending analysis) to the value of €70,000 and €40,000 worth of cannabis herb (pending analysis) were discovered. Investigations are ongoing."
