A drug-fuelled speeding motorist was arrested after being caught with nearly €40,000 worth of drugs in their vehicle.
The man, in his 20s, was initially nabbed after he was caught travelling at a speed of 157km/h on the M9 in Co Carlow.
They went on to test positive for cocaine, cannabis and opiates after a roadside breath test.
Gardai subsequently recovered cocaine and around 2,000 ecstasy tablets from the vehilce. The vehicle was seized as the already disqualified driver was uninsured.

The motorist was arrested and questioned before being released from Carlow Garda Station.
A garda tweet said: "Carlow Roads Policing Unit detected car speeding at 157km. Driver failed breath test.
"Vehicle seized - no insurance as driver disqualified. Arrested and taken to Carlow Garda Station.
"Vehicle searched and 2,000 ecstasy tablets and cocaine worth over €38,000 found. Arrested and questioned. Released - file to DPP."
