Gardai arrest delivery driver attempting dangerous manoeuvre after they tested positive for two drugs

A takeaway delivery driver has been arrested after testing positive for two drugs while behind the wheel.

Gardai noticed the motorist dangerously attempting a three-point turn on a path.

Officers stopped the delivery driver and conducted a roadside drugs test which showed they had cocaine and cannabis in their system.

The motorist was then arrested under the Road Traffic Act.

A spokesman said: "A food delivery driver was stopped by Gardaí when observed performing an illegal 3-point turn on pathway.

"Roadside test administered and tested positive for driving under the influence of drugs.

"Driver arrested under the Road Traffic Act."
