A cocaine-fuelled motorist was arrested after they were caught speeding on Easter Saturday.
The driver was initially stopped for speeding near Boyle, Co Roscommon.
The novice driver subsequently tested positive for cocaine after an oral fluid test.
Gardai also conducted checkpoints as part of Operation Surround, but all tests were passed.

A garda tweet: "Novice Driver stopped for speeding near Boyle by Roscommon RPU.
"Driver arrested having returned positive oral fluid test for Cocaine. FCPN to issue for speeding & court to follow.
"MIT checkpoints also conducted as part of Operation Surround. All tested passed."
