Gardai arrested 16 people on Thursday morning in a "day of action" in Drogheda, Co Louth.
The arrests were made after 32 searches were carried out as part of an operation investigating criminality.
Officers arrested 14 people on the foot outstanding warrants within the Drogheda Garda District.
All 14 were brought before the District and Circuit Courts.
And two men, aged 23 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of the commission of criminal acts in recent weeks.
The 19-year-old was charged and taken before Dundalk District Court.
The second man remains in custody at Drogheda Garda Station.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí in Drogheda arrested 16 people and 32 searches were conducted as part of a Day of Action carried out under Operation Stratus investigating criminality within the Drogheda Garda District.
"30 searches were conducted at houses in the District and 14 people were arrested on foot of outstanding warrants within the Drogheda Garda District.
"All 14 persons arrested have been brought before both the District and Circuit Courts of foot of these warrants.
"A further two men, 23 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of the commission of criminal acts within the Drogheda Garda District in recent weeks.
"Two separate searches were conducted under a warrants issued under The Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 as amended."
Five vehicles were also seized and 35 on the spot penalty notices were issued in the area as part of the operation.
