Gardai appeal to public for help in locating missing 54-year-old from Dublin

Gardaí are appealing to the public for help in tracing the whereabouts of a 54-year-old man missing from Tallaght, Dublin.

David Finnegan is missing from the Dublin 24 area since Saturday, July 8, authorities have revealed.

He has been described as 5’ 11” in height, of medium build, with brown and grey hair and blue eyes and gardaí believe that he was in possession of his bicycle at the time he went missing.

His family have expressed concern for his welfare, and along with An Garda Síochána, have asked that if anyone has any information, that they contact Tallaght Garda Station or any other garda station.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 54-year-old David Finnegan who is missing from Tallaght, Dublin 24 since Saturday 8th July, 2023."

"He is described as 5’ 11” in height, of medium build, with brown and grey hair and blue eyes."

They have reason to believe that David has his bicycle with him.

They stressed that David’s family are "concerned for his welfare" and have asked An Garda Síochána for assistance in locating him.

"Anyone with information on David’s whereabouts is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station," a garda spokesperson added.
