Gardai appeal to Dubliners for help in reuniting lost wedding ring with owner

Gardai appeal to Dubliners for help in reuniting lost wedding ring with owner.

The sentimental piece of jewellery was found in Dun Laoghaire yesterday.

It was spotted by a Good Samaritan at the Forty Foot Pier and was handed into the local garda station.

The silver ring has “Mo Ainm Chara” written on the inside, along with the date 16 September 2016 engraved.

The owner is asked to contact Dun Laoghaire Garda station at 016665000 to be reunited with their precious item.

Whilst many Twitter users replied to the post with Lord of the Rings memes, others had the following to say about the ring:

One tweeted: "Should be in theory handy enough to track the owner, it’s an unusual inscription."

Another said: "A few local Borough lads broke many a girls hearts and the ring ended up in the sea."
