Gardai have launched an investigation and issued an appeal to the public for information after a teenager was left hospitalised with serious injuries after a brutal assault.
The male teenager was assaulted between the hours of 11pm on Sunday, June 27 and 12.30am on Monday, June 28 in Thurles.
The incident is believe to have occurred at Upperchurch Village in the Tipperary town.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he is currently being treated for serious injuries.
No arrests have been made to date.
Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
Gardai at Thurles are appealing for any witnesses to this assault to come forward.
They are also appealing to any road users (who may have camera footage) that were travelling in the Upperchurch Village area between the hours of 11pm on Sunday, 27th June, 2021, and 12:30am on Monday, 28th June, 2021, to make this footage available to Gardaí.
