Gardai appeal for witnesses after shots fired in Tallaght

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a number of shots were fired in Tallaght yesterday evening.

Gardai responded to reports that a firearm had been discharged at roughly 7:30pm on Tuesday. The incident took place at the junction of Fortunestown and Jobstown Road.

It is understood that those connected to the incident fled the scene in a car. No injuries were reported.

Anyone who was on the Fortunestown Road, Tallaght Road or in the vicinity of the area between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station. Gardai are also looking for people who may have mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.
