Gardai have appealed for witnesses after a car was set on fire outside a home in Balbriggan yesterday.
The vehicle was set ablaze in broad daylight in the Bremore Court area of the north Dublin town at around 6pm.
Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade raced to the scene and brought the blaze under control.
Luckily no one was injured in the incident, which a garda spokesman told Dublin Live is being investigated as a case of criminal damage.
The car has been removed from the scene for a technical examination.
He added: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly anyone who was in the area between 5:45pm - 6:15pm, to contact them at Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 802 0510 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
