Gardai and Revenue officers have seized suspected drugs worth €100,00 following a search of two apartments near the city centre.
Members of the Store Street Divisional Drugs Unit seized €60,000 worth of cocaine, methamphetamine and GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate) following the raids yesterday.
They then alerted Revenue of a package containing €40,000 of methamphetamine due to arrive into the country today.
A man in his 40s was arrested following yesterday's searches.
He is currently detained at Store Street garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Analysis of a seized mobile phone alerted gardai to the package that was due to be delivered to Ireland from the UK.
Revenue customs officers were notified and the package was intercepted and seized.
A garda spokesman said investigations into the seizures are ongoing.
