A female Garda has been left with a fractured arm and finger after a man allegedly charged at her in an attack while she was on-duty in Dublin.
The violent incident happened on Dominick Street in the city centre on Wednesday night last week.
She arrived at the scene with another Garda and they asked a man in his 30s to leave the area.
However, the man allegedly refused to leave and instead moved towards them in "a threatening manner".

In a scary attack, he then charged at the Gardai and "pushed a female member to the ground and restrained her on the ground" where she fractured an arm and a finger, according to a garda spokesman.
Additional Gardai showed up and the man was arrested before he appeared before the courts the following morning.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai have arrested and charged a man following a public order incident on Dominick Street in Dublin 1 on the evening of November 9, 2022.
"Upon arrival to the scene, Gardaí had requested the man (30s) to leave the area, but he refused to do so and advanced towards Gardaí in a threatening manner. The male pushed a female member to the ground and restrained her on the ground."
He added: "Additional Garda Units arrived to scene and the man was arrested. He was later charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Thursday morning November 10, 2022.
"The female member who responded to the incident sustained a fracture to a finger and her arm during the incident."
Both members are receiving support from their colleagues and local Garda Management and the wider Organisational supports of the Peer Support Service, Chief Medical Officer and 24hour counselling service have been provided if required.
