Gardai have launched an investigation after a man confronted a woman in a terrifying late-night robbery.
The incident happened in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, shortly after 1am on Friday morning.
A female delivery driver was walking back to her car on Ormonde Close on Thomas Street when she was approached by a man.
He demanded her money and mobile phone, and after taking the items he fled in an unknown direction.
Officers said the woman was not injured in the incident.
Local gardai from Clonmel carried out a patrol of the area but were unable to find the suspect.
Detectives said they were canvassing the area for CCTV footage, and that they were still looking for the man.
They have asked anyone with information to come forward.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Ormonde Close, Ormonde Court, Thomas Street or the Prior Park areas, particular drivers with dashcam footage, to contact Gardaí in Clonmel on 052- 617 7640."
