Garda probe launched after body of man found on Dublin quays

A probe has been launched by gardai after the body of a man was found on Dublin's quays.

Gardai are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the man, in his 30s, in the boardwalk area of Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1 on June 4.

The grim find was made at around 6.20am on that date and gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them, particularly anyone who was in the Ormond Quay and surrounding areas between 6pm on June 3 and 6.20am on June 4.

A post mortem has since been carried out on the body, the results of which are not being made available for operational reasons.

Anyone with information can contact gardai at Store Street on 01 666 8000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
