Garda investigation launched as man stabbed and assaulted at home in Skibbereen, Co Cork

Gardai are investigating after a man was stabbed and assaulted in an attack in Co Cork.

Emergency services were called to an assault at a house in the Riverdale area of Skibbereen at around 8pm on Tuesday.

The 39 year old man, who was found with stab wounds at the house, was taken to Cork University Hospital with non life threatening injuries, CorkBeo reports.

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident and Garda investigations are ongoing.
