Gardaí have seized almost €125,000 worth of cannabis herb and cash at a house in Galway.
A man was also arrested following the operation which took place on Tuesday evening.
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit in Galway searched the house in the Renmore area of Galway at 7pm on Tuesday.
During the course of the search, they located a large quantity of cannabis herb (pending analysis) worth approximately €90,000.
€34,500 in cash at the house was also seized during the operation.
A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene in connection with the seizure. He has since been detained at the North Western Regional Garda Headquarters in Galway under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The man has since been released from custody and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in this matter.
Elsewhere, Gardaí in Longford have seized more than €48,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb as part of Operation Tara.
Gardaí attached to the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit carried out an operation at Glebe in Longford on the morning of December 8, 2020, where they seized €45,000 worth of cannabis herb (pending analysis) at approximately 10am.

During a follow-up search, a further quantity of suspected cannabis herb worth €3,200 was seized at a property in Longford town.
A woman in her early 30s was arrested.
A file is also being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
