A driver trying to avoid a Garda checkpoint was caught by gardai for a number of serious offences.
The motorist had attempted to turn away from a stop recently in Callan, Co Kilkenny.
However, he was spotted by gardai who subsequently discovered the road user was breaking some serious traffic laws.
They found that the car had false discs and the individual also failed a roadside drugs test.
Gardai say the driver will face charges for the fraudulent discs and could face further sanctions if their blood sample gives a positive result for drugs.
Members of the force in the Waterford, Kilkenny and Carlow region said: "The driver of this vehicle was displaying false discs and was arrested by Gardai from the Roads Policing Unit after turning away from a Mandatory Intoxicant Checkpoint in Callan.

"He failed a roadside drugs test. Charges to follow regardless, for fraudulent discs, further charges in the event of his blood sample coming back positive for drugs."
