A truck driver was fined after he was caught by gardai sending pictures to his wife while driving near Dublin Airport.
The driver was stopped on the M1 by officers from the Commercial Vehicle Unit.
When he was pulled in by gardai he told them he was sending pictures of a road traffic accident on the M50 to his wife.
Gardai shared details of the incident on Twitter this morning.
They wrote: "The commercial vehicle unit stopped this truck driving on the M1 after noticing the driver was using a mobile phone.
"He stated that he was sending his wife pictures from a road traffic collision on the M50. An FCPN was issued."
