As far as weekends go, the Gardaí had an extremely busy one, having caught a driver speeding at over 200km/h, attended two major crashes and nailed another driver for not having their insurance.
Gardai remained at the scene of a major crash just beyond the Shantalla Road Bridge that occurred yesterday evening at approximately 8.45 pm, Dublin Live reports.
A woman was rushed to hospital on Sunday night with serious injuries following a collision involving a truck.
The pedestrian, aged in her 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital after the incident near Santry.
Then, an incident on the N25 saw a unit in Waterford deployed following another crash this morning.
Those two incidents followed one earlier on Sunday which saw Naas Gardaí setting up a checkpoint in North Kildare.
A vehicle proceeded through but was flagged on the system that officers use as uninsured.
Gardaí stopped the vehicle and discovered that the driver did not have insurance, so the vehicle was seized.
And to top it all off, another checkpoint in Waterford on a road which had a 100km/h speed limit saw a vehicle clocked at 230km/h.

230 kilometres an hour - over twice the speed limit.
A Garda spokesperson said of the incident: "Waterford Roads Policing Unit were conducting speed checks this weekend when they detected this car travelling at 230kph in a 100kph zone. They were stopped and the driver was arrested for dangerous driving. Proceedings to follow. "
