Nine arrests were made by Dublin Gardai over the Bank Holiday weekend during a huge Mandatory Intoxicant Testing operation.
Road Policing Units in the capital carried out a total of 16 checkpoints for alcohol and drugs during the weekend, testing over 400 motorists.
Nine drivers failed the test and were arrested, now facing disqualification and heavy fines.
Naas Roads Policing Unit also made some arrests during the Bank Holiday, catching two drivers under the influence.
Proceedings are to follow for both drivers.
Gardai in Naas also seized a car on Tuesday morning, after detecting it travelling 147kph in a 100kph zone.
The driver was found to be uninsured and will face proceedings.
